At Compassion we have a simple understanding of worship: all of it is for an audience of One. There is no show or concert. Only a gathering of Jesus followers focused on One. Our team embraces an approach to praise and worship that prioritizes Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We aim for freedom in our gatherings and will often drift from what is expected into times of spontaneous prayer and worship. You will notice that in some gatherings we have individuals who worship the Lord through creativity, dance, and prophetic encouragment. This is because we value freedom of expression as well as the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit. We believe that when we actively seek the Holy Spirit to transform our gatherings He shows up in fresh ways.
We invite you to come and worship with us. If you have talents and skills in instrumentation and/or vocals please "Join The Group" below and fill out the Worship Team Application. Then we can arrange a time to meet and hear more about your experience and passion in worship. This is a team effort. Join us!

I have the privilege of leading the worship team alongside Bryce York here at Compassion Church. My husband Nate and I have been married for 10 years and have three wonderful boys. We have served in ministry together since 2012, both in Michigan and here in Ohio. I recently stepped into leadership after attending Compassion for the past two years.
My passion within the church has always been in music. I grew up singing in the church; from children’s choir and singing in youth group, to now leading our church in praise and worship. I love to sing, write music, and play guitar. I love the Compassion value that says “Diversity is a gift from God.” On our team each person comes from a different walk of life. Each with a valuable and beautiful testimony of what God has done in our lives. We embrace our differences, the strengths and gifts each person brings to the team, and lift each other up in areas of weakness. It’s been our goal from the start to create a positive and encouraging culture within the team, and we are committed to always keep God first and at the center of all we do. The Compassion Worship Team is more than just a team. It is a family full of children of God, here to share our gifts and talents to glorify the Lord. We’d love for you to join us! |
