Grow - "The Praise and Worship of God"
This three week focus will be centered on building a strong biblical foundation for the praise and worship of God. While many assume worship and praise is singing songs and saying prayers--there is a rich and deep understanding of these elements of our faith waiting for all of us to explore. Along with this exploration we also will seek to be equipped with wisdom to navigate the modern landscape of Christian worship. Many of the songs that are most popular worship lyrics in today's popular songs are missing key elements of worship that we should be aware of. Please join us as we seek to grow in our own worship and praise the way GOD desires us to. We hope to see you soon for this three week focus led by our lead pastor, Noah Schumacher.

"The Holy Spirit and You"
The Holy Spirit is the greatest friend, advocate, and encourager we would ever have in this life. He was given to the church to help us understand the deep things of God as well as how to faithfully follow Jesus in this life. In this six week focus we will look at the Personhood of the Holy Spirit, the importance of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, as well as the gifts and fruit He brings into our lives. This and more we will be diving into and encourage you to come! If you feel dry and in need of that deepening with God we all desire--this is the place to begin, sustain, and end. The Holy Spirit is ready to partner with you and bring the transformation your heart longs for. Everyone is welcome to come.

"Divine Healing"
At Compassion we believe that what Jesus began He continues today. This includes healing ministry! The power of Gods Holy Spirit was not for the early church alone but rather for all who are "afar off and called" (Acts 2:38-39). With that being said, we believe that every believer filled with the Holy Spirit of God is capable of moving in the gift of healing as the Holy Spirit distributes the gifting (1 Cor. 12). We also believe that every person in need of physical healing is a candidate for it. While obviously the timing of God and manner of healing is all up to Him, we as disciples of Jesus must be faithful in obedience to our part which is two-fold:
We are able to live with these two convictions while also trusting in science and medicine. They are not mutually exclusive. But in our culture we seem to lean on these two areas more so than faith and healing. So how do we navigate this? How do we remain faithful to what the Scriptures teach and the Spirit filled life that the NT lays out for us? Come and learn with us as we dive into the healing nature of God from the OT as well as to the NT. You will be challenged and God willing, healed if need be even as we gather. Our hope is not an accumulation of knowledge but rather understanding of the ministry of the Holy Spirit so that we too can be conduits of His power in these times we are living.
We look forward to having you join us to become equipped, empowered, and released to who you are called to be in Christ!
